Lagos is a lively, cosmopolitan and historic coastal town with a dazzling array of excellent bars and restaurants. Steeped in a rich maritime history, Lagos is within easy reach of some of the best beaches in the region, such as Meia Praia, Dona Ana, Praia da Batata, Porto Mós and Pinhão and possessing one of the busiest marinas in the Algarve.
Meanwhile, if you are drawn to the white ball and the fairway, Lagos is ideally located within easy reach of the  renowned golf courses, such as Boavista, Palmares, Parque da Floresta, Penina and Alto Golfe. There are also a good  many horse riding stables in the area offering guided treks through the natural beauty of the Algarvian hidden interior.
Just to the east of Lagos is the charming coastal village of Praia da Luz with an excellent beach and a variety of good restaurants, while carrying on along the coast towards Cabo de Sao Vicente in Sagres , you will encounter a variety of wondrous beaches such as Burgau, Salema, Zavial and Ingrina.
